Journalist James Nestor traveled the world to discover the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices and how our breathing can affect athletic performance, asthma, our spine, and more.
I got a Snooz
sound machine for Christmas last year and it has been a game-changer for my sleep.
It sounds like a big box fan, but takes up a tiny fraction of the space. I use it at home every night, and I also bring it with me on trips so I can drown out nearby noise. It contains a full-spectrum white noise sound to help you fall asleep and
stay asleep, and you can adjust the tone and volume.
I typically don’t drink carbonated drinks, but I really enjoyed this sparkling soda. It contains 5 grams of the agavin prebiotic and only 4 grams of sugar. They have fun flavors like Pear Lime Green Tea and Pineapple Mango Turmeric – my favorite has to be Strawberry Ginger Hibiscus.
I bet these would make a delicious mixer for some festive cocktails too.
I tried this plant-based protein powder for the first time a few months ago and I’m a big fan.
Truvani is USDA certified organic, contains a blend of whole food plant-based protein sources, is sweetened with a touch of monk fruit (no weird aftertaste), and it’s gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free.
Oat Haus granola butter is gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. It is lightly sweetened with natural maple syrup, but it still tastes like a straight up dessert.
It is also free of the top 9 allergens. If you know someone with a nut allergy, this is the perfect spread for them. It’s also perfect for kids that go to a school with a nut-free policy. I know what you’re thinking – what IS in it? This granola butter
is the world’s first oat-based spread, made of a creamy blend of gluten-free oats, olive oil, coconut oil, flax seed and maple syrup. They have a bunch of flavor options that feature delicious additions like cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, freeze-dried blueberries, and cacao powder.
Drizzle it on an apple, add it to a smoothie, stir it to some yogurt, spread it across a stack of gluten-free pancakes, eat it by the spoonful – no matter how you eat it, you really can’t go wrong.

Such a fun coffee product! Good Pharma
makes a pourover coffee you can brew anywhere – all you need is hot water.
Their organic coffee also contains a blend of Lion’s Mane mushrooms, L-theanine and Rhodiola which can give you a more balanced energy without a crash and help minimize coffee’s stress on the adrenals (more info on that here
)

This organic cold brew comes in multiple delicious flavors including hazelnut, my personal favorite. I love how cost-effective this cold brew it – way cheaper than getting cold brew from a coffee shop on the reg.
If you love coffee but you’re struggling with digestive issues, consider switching to a lower acid caffeine options like cold brew
or matcha.

I don’t own this just yet, but I will definitely be asking for it for Christmas or gifting it to myself this Holiday season.
This bottle
allows you to make cold brewed tea overnight, or it can be used to infuse water with fresh fruit or cucumber slices to make water way more fun.
They have lots of different sizes, and plenty of colors to choose from so you can pick the perfect bottle for whoever you’re gifting to.
This toner
is Primally Pure’s number one product, and I can see why.The name says it all – this toner does just about everything, and everyone’s skin would benefit. The toner balances your skin’s pH, reduces inflammation, calms irritation, and gives your skin a dewy glow.
I spray this toner all over my face before applying my serum/moisturizer, and I sometimes spray during the day as a skin pick-me-up.
Make sure to check out last year’s blog
for my other favorites from this awesome, non-toxic brand.

This all-natural under eye cream
is a morning staple for me. The cream contains coffee bean extract to brighten and depuff your eyes within just fifteen minutes.
Shea butter, aloe, cranberry extract, and other plant-based ingredients nourish the delicate skin around your eyes and can even reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Trying to put together a meal with a crappy knife if like trying to paint a masterpiece with Crayons. It’s really difficult, and really frustrating.
My parents gifted me an 8-inch, high-quality chef’s knife
a few years ago when I started getting into cooking, and I can’t imagine cooking without it. I use this knife for 90% of my cooking – it’s a gift that keeps on giving.
This knife is pricey (but honestly worth every penny since it lasts a lifetime), so if you want to spend a little less you could get this knife
which is by the same brand but at a lower price point.
Our water is lurking with heavy metals, chemicals, and even medication. My Berkey water filter filters
out over 200 contaminants and ensures I’m drinking pure, clean water that supports
my health.
I have a “Big Berkey”, but they also have smaller and larger sizes available.
I use this milk frother
almost every single morning – either to blend my matcha
or to blend some cinnamon or cacao into my coffee.
I’ve tried alot of different frothers and the mudwatr frother is hands-down my favorite. Plus, it’s USB rechargeable (yay for no disposable batteries!).
I did alot of research on different kettles, and glass came out on top. Plastic kettles can leach plastic into your hot water (ALL plastics are hormone disrupting, even BPA-free plastics) and it’s hard to see when stainless steel kettles need to be cleaned.
My glass kettle was super affordable on Amazon, it’s easy to use, and the design it simple and sleek so it looks great in any kitchen. They don’t carry my exact kettle anymore, but this one
is super similar to what I own.
I don’t drink electrolyte drinks like Gatorade or Powerade because they are full of sugar and contain artificial colors (which can fuel food sensitivities and autoimmune conditions).
Most electrolyte powders out there contain a very small amount of electrolytes, and some contain too much sugar. Basis electrolytes
contain the perfect ratio of sodium to potassium, and just enough sugar to allow the electolytes to effectively enter the cell.
Since incorporating electrolytes into my everyday life I not only notice better endurance in my workouts, but better energy and focus throughout the day as well (which makes sense because low electrolyte status = low energy)
My favorite flavors are cran raspberry and blackberry lemon, and I sometimes I add an extra squeeze of lemon.
A kettlebell
makes for a killer workout and there are lots of weights to choose from, so you can use a kettlebell whether you’re a seasoned athlete or an exercise newbie.
They’re virtually indestructible, so it’s a gift that will keep on giving year after year.
I did alot of research on “wearables” and the Whoop band impressed me most. Whoop monitors your heart rate variability, sleep, and exercise to help you understand how your diet, exercise, and lifestyle affect your body’s ability to recover from the day. And they have a ton of colors so it’s easy to find something that’s just their style.
I heard they sometimes discount Whoop for Black Friday, so I’m planning on snagging a membership then.
I hope you enjoy these gifts as much as I do. Share with friends, share on social, and let me know what you think of these gifts if you decide to gift yourself something.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal condition that affects millions of women in the United States. PCOS results in debilitating symptoms, long term complications, and is one of the most common causes of infertility in the US. Sadly, for many women it takes years to finally get a diagnosis. For the women who do get diagnosed, they usually don’t know where to begin when it comes to addressing their PCOS naturally. I’ve worked with so many women who are just told to go on birth control to “fix” their PCOS. Birth control not only doesn’t fix PCOS - it can actually cause more issues! Although PCOS is a complex disorder, nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes can significantly slow its progression and reduce symptoms. In fact, many of my clients with PCOS have been able to put their PCOS in remission naturally. In this article, we’ll cover: What is PCOS? The role of hormones in PCOS Common signs and symptoms of PCOS Root causes of PCOS How to manage PCOS naturally Dietary and lifestyle changes for PCOS Where to go from here
